Vinyl Flooring in Singapore

Waterproof, Realistic, Built for Singapore Homes

Vinyl flooring has become Singapore's most-installed residential flooring — and for good reason. Fully waterproof, realistic in finish, fast to install, and forgiving on existing tile floors. We supply and install vinyl flooring across HDB, condo, landed, and commercial projects island-wide.

Vinyl flooring in Singapore has come a long way. Today’s luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) and SPC (stone plastic composite) options give you waterproof performance, realistic wood and stone finishes, and significantly easier maintenance than tile, laminate, or hardwood. For most Singapore homes, vinyl is the right answer — but only when it’s the right type of vinyl, properly installed.

Why Vinyl Flooring Works in Singapore

Singapore’s climate, HDB layouts, and renovation timelines all push homeowners toward vinyl. Here’s why.

100% Waterproof

Modern SPC vinyl is fully waterproof — usable in kitchens, bathrooms, and balconies, not just dry living areas.

Install Over Existing Tiles

Most resale flats already have ceramic tiles. Vinyl can be laid directly over existing tiles without hacking — saving you days of dust, debris, and disposal fees.

Quiet Underfoot

CORE+ LVT flooring is available with an optional 1mm foam underlayment for enhanced underfoot comfort and improved acoustic performance. It is a practical solution for HDBs, condos, and other high-rise homes where comfort and noise reduction matter.

Realistic Finishes

Embossed surface textures replicate real oak, walnut, ash, and stone — without the warping, sealing, or maintenance.

Fast Installation

Most HDB vinyl flooring jobs complete in 1–3 working days, with minimal disruption to neighbouring rooms.

Type of Vinyl Flooring We Supply

Not all vinyl flooring is the same. Here’s how the main types compare.

SPC Vinyl Flooring

Stone Plastic Composite — a rigid core that resists denting, doesn't warp under heat, and tolerates minor subfloor imperfections. The most popular choice for Singapore HDB and condo homes today.

Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT)

Slightly more flexible vinyl with strong realistic visuals. Good for areas where comfort underfoot matters — bedrooms, study rooms, kids' rooms.

Herringbone Vinyl

A pattern format becoming increasingly popular in modern luxe and contemporary classic interiors. Adds visual depth without changing material specs.

Vinyl vs. Laminate vs. Tile

A quick honest comparison — because we get this question on every consultation.

  • Vinyl: Waterproof, quiet, fast install, realistic finish — most rooms
  • Laminate: Looks similar but not waterproof — avoid in kitchens/bathrooms
  • Ceramic Tile: Most durable but cold underfoot, hacking required, longer install
  • Hardwood: Premium look but expensive, sensitive to humidity
  • Carpet: Warm but harder to clean, holds dust — limited use in tropical climate

For most Singapore homes, vinyl wins on the combination of cost, finish, install speed, and durability.

Our Vinyl Flooring Installation Process

A clear process keeps your install predictable.

1. Site Visit & Measurement

We measure on-site, check subfloor condition (or existing tiles), and confirm whether prep work is needed.

2. Quotation & Sample Selection

Itemised quote — material, labour, skirting, disposal — with physical samples for colour selection under your actual lighting.

3. Installation

Most HDB jobs finish in 1–3 working days. Our in-house team handles every step — no third-party subcontracting.

4. Final Walk-Through

We inspect the install with you, address any touch-ups, and walk you through care and maintenance before leaving.

Vinyl Flooring Pricing in Singapore

Vinyl flooring is typically priced per square foot. The total cost depends on:

  • Vinyl thickness (4mm vs 6mm)
  • Wear layer thickness (0.3mm vs 0.5mm)
  • Pattern format (planks vs herringbone)
  • Subfloor prep (none / light / hacking required)
  • Skirting type and material
  • Whether disposal of existing flooring is needed

We quote each project itemised, so you see exactly what you’re paying for. Most full-HDB vinyl jobs fall between $3,500 and $9,000 depending on flat size and finish selected.

How to Care for Vinyl Flooring

  • Dry sweep or vacuum regularly
  • Mop with mild detergent and damp microfibre — avoid bleach
  • Use felt pads under heavy furniture
  • Avoid dragging heavy items across the floor
  • Wipe spills promptly (vinyl is waterproof, but quicker is cleaner)

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does vinyl flooring last?

With normal residential use, expect 15–20+ years. Wear layer thickness is the main factor — thicker wear layers last longer in high-traffic homes.

Click-lock vinyl is technically DIY-able, but professional installation gives you better edge detailing, skirting work, and warranty coverage. For full-flat installs, we strongly recommend professional installation.

Yes. Vinyl flooring is widely used in HDB BTO and resale flats — no special approvals required for standard installation.

Quality vinyl with UV-resistant wear layers (like CORE+) holds colour well in indoor conditions. Direct, prolonged sunlight on uncovered areas can cause some long-term fading — same as most floor materials.
